Overview
The role of the Executive Committee is to establish an annual calendar of items requiring approval or certification, to ensure that all matters of significance are brought before the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (BRTB) at the proper time, to provide guidance to the Director of the UPWP in preparing the agenda for each meeting, and to ensure that the Chairperson is properly briefed on issues relating to transportation plans and policies in the region. This Committee shall also have the power to adopt all administrative modifications and amendments to the current Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that do not affect air quality conformity.
Purpose and Mission
- Set agendas for the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board
- Adopt Administrative Modifications and Amendments to the TIP that do not affect air quality
- Approve Letters of Support for Discretionary Grants or Research Programs
- Provide Guidance to the Director of the UPWP (BMC Transportation Director)
Membership
The Executive Committee of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (BRTB) consists of the Chairperson, the Vice-Chairperson, and a representative of the Maryland Department of Transportation, as designated by the Secretary. The Director of the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) will attend meetings and provide administrative support to the Committee.
