Responding to State legislative interest, the Baltimore Metropolitan Council (BMC) is leading a consultant task called the Baltimore Region Transit Governance and Funding Study. This study is also supported by the Central Maryland Regional Transit Plan Commission, the Maryland Department of Transportation – Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) and the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board (BRTB).
The study will develop alternatives for the structure, organization, and funding of public transit in the Baltimore region.
Join the BRTB for a panel discussion on the Transit Governance and Funding Study. This event will feature transit professionals from organizations from across the nation who will discuss their experience and insight into the transit operations, funding and related issues, as well as share their knowledge on issues related to transit governance. The public forum will provide attendees an opportunity to hear directly from national practitioners and transit peers to better understand how Baltimore can take lessons learned here and elsewhere to propose changes that better meet the region’s goals.
