The Baltimore Metropolitan Council provides a variety of information products and services to support our staff, colleagues, researchers, and business people.
The Regional Information Center is a library operated as a partnership between the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and the Enoch Pratt Free Library (Baltimore City's public library system). The collection includes regional and urban planning materials with a focus on local demographic information, economic development, transportation planning, land use and environmental issues.

We provide annual building permit data in summary form, and offer subscriptions to monthly printed reports and to an online database for the most up-to-date and complete permit information available.
We can provide demographic information for any location in Maryland, even for unique geographic areas like circles, corridors, and shapes bounded by whatever streets you request. Small fees are charged for this service.
This section contains work products generated by the BMC or partner agencies that contain information pertaining to the Baltimore region. The types of information range from maps that were generated for presentations or reports, a section on traffic count data and a section on crash data.
