Interagency Consultation Group
Interagency coordination is a requirement of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The Interagency Consultation Group, a subcommittee of the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board, is the group that focuses on coordination of the transportation conformity process. This group works to promote coordination among the transportation and air quality agencies for the region
Voting members of the committee include representation from the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board, the Maryland Department of the Environment, and the Maryland Department of Transportation. Citizen and stakeholder involvement is welcome and encouraged.
Interagency Consultation Procedures
These procedures were developed in consultation with Maryland and local air and transportation agencies, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Federal Transit Administration. They are the procedures that the Baltimore Regional Transportation Board follows in assessing confirmity of its plans and programs.
